Frequently asked questions

Who is DecisionReact™ for?

For players aged 11–17 who want to carry training over into games better: quick decisions, fewer turnovers, more confidence. It works best for kids who already train in a club but hesitate or panic in games.

How much time does it take?

10–15 minutes a day. The exact length depends on the package you choose. Your child goes through Core Skills and Challenges at their own pace, and DecisionReact™ Complete also has an optional 21-day plan if you want structure. It's set up so a child can fit it in alongside school and team practices.

Can a child do it alone?

Yes. The training is primarily designed so it can be done alone. With a partner (parent/friend) it's even better for some bonus games and reaction parts.

Do we need a hoop?

Not always. Some parts you can do without a hoop. For finishing a hoop is of course ideal, but a lot of the training is about decision-making, control and reaction, and that can be done in a smaller space too.

YouTube has everything for free. Why pay?

Because YouTube gives you drills. But the game is about decision-making in real time. Here you get a system that forces you to react to a stimulus and choose the right action, not just repeat a movement you already know in advance. That's the difference between “I know it in training” and “I do it in the game.”

How quickly will we see results?

Many kids feel a change quickly: more control, less panic, a better overview. But the pace is individual. The biggest difference comes from consistency (those 10–15 minutes a day).

More questions (12)
What if the child already has 4 trainings a week?

That's exactly why it's short. This is a supplement that addresses what often “dissolves” in team practices: transfer to the game, reaction, reading the game. 10–15 minutes a day is realistic even with a packed schedule.

How does access to the training work?

After purchase you get instant access to the training right on this website, it is mobile-friendly and you have access for at least 5 years.

Do we need internet/data?

The training is online, so you need the internet to log in and watch the content. With signals it depends on the specific setup (some things can also work after loading).

Will I get support if I don't understand something?

Yes. In the training you'll have clear explanations, and if you get stuck you can write to us (e-mail support). I don't want you to be left thinking “I don't know if we're doing this right.”

And who is it not for?

If the child doesn't play basketball at all (a complete beginner with no basics), or doesn't feel like doing even 10 minutes a day, it won't be it. It's also not a “miracle in 2 days”. It's a system that works when it's used.

What exactly will the child train?

Depending on the package: Core Skills (ball handling, passing, finishing), Challenges (challenges: perception of space, time, rhythm), or DecisionReact™ Complete (both areas + Final Game Flow and bonuses). The goal is always the same: for the child not to play “blind” with the ball, but to know how to quickly choose pass / drive / finish.

Do we need a wall?

For passing a wall is great, but it isn't necessary. It can also be solved by faking a pass or with a partner (parent/friend) who returns the pass.

Is it also for coaches?

Yes, but secondarily. A coach can take drill blocks and principles from it, it's just not a classic team training for 12 players at once (because of downtime). For individual sessions and small groups it's top.

Is it suitable for girls too?

Yes 🙂🏀 The training is built on the principles of decision-making, tempo and reaction, and that is universal.

What if the child won't do it?

Honestly: that's the most common reason why things don't work. That's why I recommend setting it up as a routine: the same time, short, no pressure. And the bonus partner games help a lot with that, because they're fun.

What if it doesn't work for my child specifically?

The result is always a combination of the quality of the system + whether the child does it. I guarantee that you'll get a clear system that simulates game conditions.

Is it safe?

Yes, the bonus games are set up as controlled contact, not strength battles. The following always applies: safe stance, control, reset. If the child has an injury, you adapt or skip specific games.
